Jimmy Carter was and is a decent man....much like most politicians, he had no idea how pull the country out that "malaise" period we were in.....had he been elected in 92, he would have been wrongly credited for positive economic times and had b.c been elected in 76 his fate would have been very similar to Mr. Carter's.....

The next great Ronald Reagan type president will be one with the ability and foresight to curb the spending side of government....let's hope that happens soon.
