The irony is that the original "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" song is about a guy that gets out of prison and asks his woman to tie a yellow ribbon around a tree if she wants him back

Tie a Yellow Ribbon Around the Old Oak Tree

I'm coming home I've done my time
And I have to know what is or isn't mine
If you received my letter
Telling you I'd soon be free
Then you'd know just what to do
If you still want me
If you still want me

Oh tie a yellow ribbon
'Round the old oak tree
It's been three long years
Do you still want me
If I don't see a yellow ribbon
'Round the old oak tree
I'll stay on the bus, forget about us
Put the blame on me
If I don't see a yellow ribbon
'Round the old oak tree

Bus driver please look for me
'Cause I couldn't bare to see what I might see
I'm really still in prison
And my love she holds the key
A simple yellow ribbon's all I need to set me free
I wrote and told her please

Oh tie a yellow ribbon
'Round the old oak tree
It's been three long years
Do you still want me
If I don't see a yellow ribbon
'Round the old oak tree
I'll stay on the bus, forget about us
Put the blame on me
If I don't see a yellow ribbon
'Round the old oak tree

Now the whole damn bus is cheering
And I can't believe I see
A hundred yellow ribbons
'Round the old, the old oak tree

Tie a ribbon 'round the old oak tree
Tie a ribbon 'round the old oak tree

If the authorities ever get their hands on Amos, perhaps he will have the opportunity to sing the very same song. How did Mitch Menik escape their grasp?

In the mean time, pour yourself a mug of lager from the tap and join Mr. P$nk for one last final rendition, with feeling, now...

TIE A YELLOW POLICE RIBBON 'CROSS THE ACTRADE DOORS
THE CRIMS ARE INSIDE,
CUFFED ON THE FLOOR
MITCH AND AMOS ARE GOING AWAY
FOR THREE AND TWENTY LONG YEARS

Now the whole damn bus is cheering
And I can't believe I see
Amos and Mitch in Orange Jump Suits
Playing House Boy to Bubba and Tyrone

All together now:

Tie a Yellow Police Ribbon 'Cross the Actade Doors
Step Away from your computer
Put your files on The FLoor
Guess who's here, its the FBI
Actrade Sharehodlers can bend over and kiss their ass,
Goodbye

Thank You New York!

Mr. P$nk
