If your argument was right, then the officers at Waco or Ruby Ridge would be prosecuted for murder. They were not. Which was the original start of the discussion, way back when.

You claim that the Waco Wackos were justified in their murder of ATF agents. You can stand by that, if you like. I'll stand by my assertion that anyone who is armed and preventing an officer from doing their duty, causing an officer to fear for their safety, will never be able to invoke a 'self defense' plea and make it stick.

In such situations, officers have even fired first, and been cleared of any wrongdoing. The 'test' as to whether the shooting is justified is if the officer really needed to use that deadly force. No brainer here: given that 4 agents were killed in trying to perform their duty, the after-the-fact truth is that such force WAS necessary.

Too bad the agents didn't bring more tanks, so that the only deaths were on the criminal side.
