Company Press Release

Unterberger To Leave Kodak

Shih New Head Of Digital Unit

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 7--Robert M. Unterberger, President of Eastman Kodak Company's Digital & Applied
Imaging business, has chosen to leave the company to pursue other interests, the company announced today.

Dr. Willy C. Shih, currently Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Digital & Applied Imaging, has been named President of D&AI,
effective immediately. In this capacity, Shih will report to Dan Carp, Kodak's President and Chief Operating Officer.

``Under Bob Unterberger's leadership, Kodak has significantly increased its portfolio of digital imaging products,'' said George Fisher, Chairman
and CEO. ``Kodak generally is considered the number one supplier of digital cameras and CD recordable media and we have a growing array
of software products, scanners, and ink jet media.''

Unterberger joined Kodak in March, 1996 from IBM, where he was General Manager of Interactive Broadband Services. He held a variety of
management assignments during his 30-year career with IBM. While at Kodak, Unterberger made ``ease of use'' a hallmark for the company's
emerging portfolio of digital imaging products.

Shih joined Kodak in July as the Chief Operating Officer for Digital & Applied Imaging, with responsibility for hardware and software product
development in capture, storage, and integrated solutions. Previously, he was Vice President of Marketing for Technical Computing at Silicon
Graphics Computer Systems in Mountain View, California.

Prior to that, Shih held various positions with the Digital Equipment Corporation and IBM, with responsibilities ranging from engineering
management to UNIX and Windows NT marketing to strategic alliance development.

Shih holds a B.S. degree in chemistry and life sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. from the University of
California at Berkeley.

One thing you can say is that Kodak is shaking things up. This guy was there for 16 months and he's gone.
