I disagree. I think Clark has a pretty good shot. He seems not only to match up well against Bush, he seems to be an anti-politician. People are fed up with partisan politics, and want some honesty and statesmanship in their leaders.

Asked if he was ready to start telling Americans his positions on domestic policy, Clark said, “I’ll do my best, but there will be a lot of things that I don’t know right away.”
“I want to learn,” he said. “I’ve got a whole period of time. I’ve got to go around America. I want to talk to people about the issues.”

To me, that is refreshing. One of the most difficult things for anyone to learn is how to say "I don't know". Rather than try to shot from the hip ala Ahhhnold, Clark is saying that there are things he needs to learn.

And Clark is a southerner - don't know if you mean that that is a negative to his chances, but it seems to be a positive nowadays.

Kerry would be a great VP for Clark with his domestic experience. It is more important to get a strong leader at the top than a seasoned politician, IMHO.
