As for packing the SC with their allies, Clinton, whom I gather is your target, did not do that. He had few appointees and he worked with Senate republicans in naming his appointees, somethinb[sic],Bush has failed to do with the Dems. But I'm not even talking about this process.

Oh, please, more Clinton accolades. If you're going to hype the former president, please do so using facts.

Q.- Did the Demos ever have control of the Senate during his Presidency when he nominated both Breyer and Ginsburg?

A.- No. When Billary became president in 1993, both the House and Senate were controlled by Democrats. In 1994, both the House and Senate went Republican

Ginsburg was appointed in 1993, when the Dems controlled the Senate; she had been an ACLU lawyer, among other things, before becoming a Justice of the SC. The more moderate Breyer was appointed in 1994, after the Dems lost control of the Senate.

Think Ginsburg would have stood a chance in 1994? Not an icicle's chance in hell. Clinton was forced to nominate Breyer, a perceived moderate, because he had no political choice, it was either a moderate or nobody. In 1994, a liberal like Ginsburg would have been nixed quicker than Bork was.

It was not a question of "working together" in circle time at Romper Room, but political realities at work. The fact that the GOP had control over the Senate in 1994 required Billary to be moderate in is choice. He couldn't pack the court if he wanted to. And he did.
