Lizzie, re "Somebody else made that comment once, not directed at me necessarily but just a comment that nobody cared when the textile factories closed or the lower level labor jobs went offshore but now that it is white collar, different story."
Are you saying your earlier statements .. about jobs going to Mexico and Japan then, relative to jobs going to India now -- are someone else's opinion, an opinion which you do not share?

re "I think the Govt doesn't want to openly address it because the job loss is something they are trying to downplay."
I distinctly remember at least one recent speech where President Bush said *jobs* were his number one concern. His stance on tax cuts support that IMHO.

re "Are you expecting a good jobs number coming up for September, job growth coming back, etc. or do you think it just doesn't matter?"
I don't follow economic numbers, so don't have an opinion about when jobs numbers will improve. However, as I recall, the official recession period was March 2001 to November 2001. And, even after taking into account that jobs growth is a lagging economic indicator .. a 22 month lag does seem like a very long time.
