<< I was beginning having doubts about ASAT, as it has hardly moved since my placement of wager.>>

For timing purposes I look to buy strong stocks on weakness. I have found that often when stocks that have done nothing for long periods of time get hot there is OHS in the form of long suffering shareholders who take advantage of higher prices and increased volume to get out. This selling is for the wrong reasons IMO . Being correct in this determination on my part is crucial to what I am trying to do.

Since the bottom of these basing periods are very hard to discern and I don't want to miss the opportunity I often buy in stages. Unfortunately I wuz away from the computer when ASTT dropped to 1.41 as anything below 1.60 I would have been all over it.

<<Sometimes...we must sit tight and suffer,>>

I see several different possible scenarios when I buy and one is that the stock goes down before it goes up. With ASTT I have a semiconductor play below two bucks with rapidly growing revs in a weak semi environment ...but I realize that some patience may be required.

<<I intend to buy ..gold, when gold drops below USD (pick a number), say 350/oz, or maybe 340 if luck willing.>>

Me too.

<<So far, it seems, I must do the opposite of what my mind tells me>>

Yeah cauz we all have some of the crowd in us .

PS why are the giant squid dying?
