I recall the idea having been tossed around, but it's not seriously considered by anyone in the mainstream. They GOTTA do something about what the radio "newscasters" in this area are ingesting. They are getting increasingly unreliable. Must be the recall. Drove them crazy. Hell, I'd be more inclined to support a return to 21. Ain't gonna happen. Amen. And it ain't gonna happen here either. The fact that you can aim a gun DOESN'T mean you know when to open fire. (Although we currently have indications that age does not necessarily improve that ability.) Our parties believe internal civil war is the method of choice for selecting leaders. :-) In the case of the CA Republican Party, nukes are the weapon of choice and by the time the primary is done the candidate is so badly damaged he can't possibly win.
