re drug companies. There was a story yesterday in the Vancouver Sun about a study performed by a professor from UBC, a Jim Wright, who states that people who have not had heart problems should not take Statin drugs to reduce cholesterol. Sure if you have had a heart attack then take them. The study shows that as many problems are caused to people's health by the drugs than the benefits to be gained from lowering cholesterol. I suspect that if this study gets out and is believed the rate of Lipitor use etc could get cut in half. What will that do to Pfizer's profits. Unfortunately the Vancouver Sun web site is the sh*ts and I can't get the story on line. I will be contacting this professor myself soon.
