Bush won the Presidency with less popular vote than his opponent. If he was truly a uniter and not a divider, he would not have been so aggressive in pursuing his right wing policies on the environment, economy and foreign policy. It has been my way or the highway with little or no opportuntiy for Democrats to participate. This explains some of the intensity of feeling from the opposition.
