Thanks for posting the article. It's an interesting bit of history.

The author was only slightly off on his prediction about who would capture the media attention today. The Gephardt endorsements didn't get mentioned on NBC by Tom Brokaw. The coverage was on Bush denying a Saddam-9/11 connection, and Wesley Clark announcing his candidacy. If one were a conspriracy theorist, one could probably make something out of this juxtaposition of stories. <g>
