Kerry's "tepid" quest? What's "tepid" about it? Just the opposite. He's running very aggressively and very strong. So what if he's not running away with it, no one expected victory until spring 2004 at the earliest anyway.

Bush's total failure with the post-war created Dean's upsurgence. That was Bush's doing, not Kerry's failing. Also give some credit to Dean who knew how to rabble-rouse and be the man of the moment. But that moment is passing.

Fox and CNN polls show Kerry is #1. Even if he's not, it's a very close race and Clark will now make it even closer.

Ask any shrewd insider and he'll tell you in the event of a virtual tie at the convention, the Super Delegates would rather back Kerry than any other candidate. Why? Because they know him, trust him and so long as he's running with someone like Clark, they know he'll beat Bush. Two Silver Stars versus two draft-dodgers. Done deal.
