<<Cheney IS at odds with Bush as well as Wolf and rum. What do you make of that?:
Bush rejects Saddam link to 9/11

US President George Bush has said there is no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved in the 11 September attacks.

The comments - among his most explicit so far on the issue - come after a recent opinion poll found that nearly 70% of those asked believed the Iraqi leader was personally involved in the attacks.

Mr Bush did however repeat his belief that the former Iraqi president had ties to al-Qaeda - the group widely regarded as responsible for the attacks on New York and Washington.

Critics of the war on Iraq have accused the US administration of deliberately encouraging public confusion to generate support for military action.>>

I would not be surprised to see Bush tell a few truths in the runup to the election. The extreme right wing cannot afford to have him continue to lie so obviously and publicly into the election. He may have to burn a few pals, but the ultimate goal is to finally be elected. Besides it is unChristian to tell fibs.

Even these idiots can tell when public opinion is shifting. Let's face it their deceptive tactics have not been brilliant at all.
