Reminds me of the German expression, schaden freude --- "Malicious satisfaction in the misfortune of others." In the circumstances above, I imagine that would be the basis for any mirth. Sorry to be so serious. I know you want to lighten it but it is serious. Anyway, I am smiling. :o)
