I think most democrats, with a few exceptions, thought the chance of democracy in Iraq was slim to none. That is one of the reasons that the war was a poor option. That bridge has already been burned. It is right and proper to hold Bush and his advisors responsible for their own predictions. When Bush gets on TV and tells the public "I'm Sorry! I listened to advisors who had different agendas", then he can expect more sympathy and help. So long as he continues to snear, stonewall, and abuse those whoes predictions were sounder than his - I think the prevalent attitude worldwide will be "You made this mess, now you clean it up!". Same as any child who wrecked his room in a tantrum. Same for the deficit, same for social security, same for the environment. Bush makes a mess and then whines when he is expected to accept responsibility. TP
