Try to be consistent with your principles, it provides credibility.

From a couple of things you've posted I get the clear impression that you don't have a sense of what civil disobedience is about. I spoke to it earlier and Chris just now. If you break the law on principle, you go to jail. When lots of people martyr themselves that way, the mainstream gets off the dime and changes things. If you don't pay the penalty, then there's no point in standing up for principle other than your own selfish self-satisfaction at your nobility. Having your cake and eating it too is not compatible with standing on principle or with civil disobedience.
