Textbook Bullish -

From James De Porre Rev. Shark --

Big Performance
9/18/03 04:22 PM ET

The story of the day is plain and simple: All the major indices broke to new annual highs. Volume was solid, with the Nasdaq just shy of the 2 billion mark and the NYSE at close to 1.5 billion. Breadth was solidly positive, and there was another flood of new highs. If you're trying to find some flaws in this market, you have your work cut out for you. On the surface, the indices are textbook bullish.

Despite the stellar performance, I'm a bit disappointed with the way some of my stocks acted today. Since I tend to focus on smaller-cap stocks, the explanation may be that the best action was skewed toward the bigger-caps.

The big question is, do we follow through? That certainly is the way to be. To use a blackjack analogy, the bears are showing a six to the bulls' ace. You have to go with the bulls with a setup like this.

It's going to be another interesting day tomorrow. Have a good evening and I'll see you in the morning.
