The War on Terror is not only a war on Al Qaeda.

Well your little sentence has some mistakes both obvious and implied. The obvious is that terror is a common noun and as such a war that can never be won. The implied is that the war should be against terror and not just al queda. Well it was al queda that attacked us and afghanistan was their protector. That is the war we should be fighting and the one that can be won. To broaden it to a war against some amorphous concept like terror is nuts.
