Suicide bombing is political
Until that woman is persuaded by someone, somehow, that there is a just and meaningful future for her and for her family, there will never be peace.
You admit that suicide bombing is political, i.e. organized with a political purpose, and that desperation isn't enough, but keep insisting anyhow that the suicide bombing won't stop until the Palestinians are no longer "desperate".
You are contradicting yourself, don't you realize that?
If the leaders of the Palestinians became convinced of the inutility of suicide bombing, then by your own admission suicide bombing, being political, would cease. That is not to say that the conflict would necessarily cease. But the chosen tactic of suicide bombing would cease.
And it really wouldn't matter all that much how "desperate" the Palestinians felt, desperation being a helpful but not even a necessary (note all the non-desperate bombers), let alone a sufficient, cause for suicide bombing. |
