I don't doubt that there are complex, mixed emotions in the heart of a young woman about to blow herself up, knowing she will kill people who are guilty only of standing in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, I do not accept that it is irrelevant to know her state of mind and the path that leads her to this act -- on the contrary, she is the central actor and we should know her. It would be convenient to dismiss the subhuman living conditions that result in no small measure from Israeli military occupation, but that would be as realistic as ignoring the political pressures and vices of the Palestinian "militant" organizations. You can ignore the tragedy of the young Palestinians if you like, and you can claim that their hopelessness and the oppressive world they live in has nothing to do with their choices, but then you would be denying reality -- the reality that helps Israeli and Palestinian political leaders to fuel the violence with one attack after another.
