Yes, this is close to the definition that I was conscious of when using the word 'neocon'. I think it accurately describes their actions from an external viewpoint, but the previous one (written by a self-described neocon) gives some insight into their intention.

Either way, a neocon is a clear split from the traditional 'conservative'. I, for one, will continue to use that term to describe the 'Cheneyistas' of this administration.
