Again your memory is faulty. There was no genocide going on in Iraq. There had been supression of a revolt ten years earlier (a revolt encouraged by Bush Sr.). In the interviening 10 or 12 years there had only been the usual petty dictator sort of stuff. The prisons, it turns out, were not full of political types but actual murderers, rapists, and carjackers. It's a complete fiction pretend that immediate intervention was required to prevent a social tragedy. The surviving people of Iraq are now much poorer and more miserable than they were a year ago.
