You're welcome. I didn't have to do any work. I had clipped it early in the discussion as a point of reference.

I do think the position has shifted from then.

I don't know that his position has changed so much as the expression of it becoming more refined and more palatable, more saleable. Which is what I've been trying to encourage even as others have been trying to beat the bigotry out of him. Fussing about sinfulness produces a lot of eye rolls and hoots. Suggesting, OTOH, that the standards to protect the vulnerable are not high enough may get some respect and even some good results. I don't see much a change of position as a reframing, a more constructive spin. Some consider spinning dishonest. Others might consider it smart strategy. I've just been trying to find a win-win. Failing that, to disabuse him of the notion that an individual's conscience should somehow trump everything it runs into.
