I disagree. People get judgements out side of "the day in court" all the time. Like psychological evaluations, or custody evaluations. The judge can rule on whether or not you and X's case should be dismissed in light of the ALJs decision.

I agree that mojo could avoid the whole ugly incident with you and X by getting the exemption in advance and would advise him to do so. He's kinda dopey though so who knows if he'd listen to me.
