The same depleted uranium also caused serious health problems for those troops fighting in the last Gulf War - health problems which the govt has only recently acknowledged. The so-called anthrax vaccine has also taken its toll causing health problems among the troops. Bush asks so much of our military and likes to regale audiences at his $5,000 a plate fundraisers about how much he supports the troops, whose lives are worth a paltry $6,000 if they're killed in action. Reminding me: A soldier was having phenomenal success selling government life insurance policies to almost 100% of the men in his unit. A general could take no more and asked the young how he did so well. He replied: "Easy, I tell them if they buy this policy and are killed in combat, the government will have to pay survivors $100k, while the beneficiaries of those who don't buy the insurance will get $6,000 from the govt. Then I add, 'Who do you think they'll send to the front lines first?'
