i would respectfully disagree. could you point me to the scripture where the founding of the nation of israel in 1948 was prophesied?

I never said the Word predicted the date 1948. Only that the nation of Israel would become a reality again and from then the end times could be counted. The generation that sees it won't pass away until all the end times events conclude. Not 40 years. That generation. During the natural lifespan of that generation. One translation in my Bible substitutes generation for race. I believed there was a New Testament scripture that says that but I am at a loss to find it right now. I spent some of tonight reading scriptures again and also read several chapters of one of Lindsey's books to see where he gets that idea. Now I have to read the book of Daniel, which I admit I've never really studied. But in scanning parts tonight it will be interesting. I will find it or toss that "theory" out the window with the rest of the dogma of the past. The best "events" that could be used to start a countdown that I could find tonight were the end of the times of the gentiles (if we could calculate that) and also the rebuilding of the Temple and resumption of the sacrifices.
