I never said the Word predicted the date 1948.
after i sent my message i was afraid my wording was not clear enough. i used 1948 simply as a marking point to mean the modern nation of israel. the word israel is a much misunderstood word in these times. most people associate the word "israel" with the modern nation state currently in the middle east. i have a different view of israel, especially as it relates biblically. satan has deliberately sought to associate the "jews" over there in the "israel" of the present-day middle east with the ancient hebrews and israelites of the bible. nothing could be further from the truth. this leads to much confusion-- just what the devil is hoping to achieve.
Only that the nation of Israel would become a reality again and from then the end times could be counted
this is what i was asking for. not a specific date, but the references that point to the modern regathering of the jews to be restored to their land, etc. the point i am trying to make is that you can find references in the scripture to a regathering and redemption of jews, but in my opinion these were either fulfilled long ago or people are misinterpreting just exactly what is meant by the term "jew" or "israel".
i cannot address where i think dispensationalists are going astray until i am given the specific passages they twist and pervert.
The best "events" that could be used to start a countdown that I could find tonight were the end of the times of the gentiles (if we could calculate that)
why do you assume that if the times of the gentiles have been fulfilled, that something has to automatically occur again with the so-called jews? and how exactly would you determine just who these jews are that are going to be affected in this new dispensation?
and also the rebuilding of the Temple and resumption of the sacrifices.
do you think that the rebuilding of a temple and the resumption of animal sacrifices would be pleasing to God? on the contrary, wouldn't this be a total affront to our Lord? didn't he end animal sacrifice once and for all with his eternal and supreme sacrifice?
For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins...By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all...But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; --Hebrews 10:4,10,12 I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands --Mark 14:58
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. --1 Corinthians 3:16-17
To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. --1 Peter 2:4-5 |
