Labor Loses Parliament Seat; Vote Seen as Rebuff to Blair

Charles Kennedy, the Liberal Democrat leader, told the BBC tonight that the vote reflected widespread disenchantment with Labor owing to the war. "In a way, Iraq has really led to an awful lot of questions being raised in terms of trust, motivation, how they are being managed, not led, by the government," he said on the BBC.
