You mix many metaphors.
The holocaust is a legitimate reason for having the State of Israel. I feel that way as do the vast majority of Americans, democrat or republican, liberal or conservative, rich or poor, east or west, north or south.
Why should a holocaust memorial preclude a 9-11 memorial. That simply makes no sense. There are 9-11 memorials in other lands. Many Americans lost family members in the holocaust. Both are world tragedies. Would you deny that?
If a memorial does not mention others who perished, I would be in favor of including that. It's not a contest. The absurdity, the cruelty, the totality of Hitler's hate should NEVER AGAIN happen. Comparisons with Israel are absurd and quite an example of extremist demagoguery.
Israel has not adopted the US Constitution so that paragraph is likewise inapt.
As far as true democracy goes, I would suggest it to be a noble vision. Perhaps you should start with the OILogarchs, the dictatorships, the tyrannies that surround the little Island of Democracy.
What are your thoughts about bringing democracy to Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE, Jordan, Syria, Lybia, Yemen, Oman, etc., etc., etc.
Should the US continue to subsidize directly or indirectly Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and the PLO?
Take care,
