The oslo accord laid out many acts of friendship that each side was obligated to do, good faith gestures, of which Israel performed many and the PA almost, very nearly none.

Sure, the Palestinians ended the Intifada and they recognized Israel. The primary gesture that Israel had to perform was to stop stealing Palestinian land, but they did the opposite. After Oslo, Israel took advantage of the Palestinians docile behavior by dramatically accelerating the settlements.
