that is a different issue though, having more to do with internet use in general.

For example, kids can buy porn on the internet, or alcohol, any number of things and there needs to be some sort of attempt at regulation (no, I don't have any ideas! LOL)

Drug companies are in some ways the most inefficient companies we have in the US. Yes we have a decent R&D engine, financed not just by drug companies but by taxpayers, through grants and universities and that deserves our support. But these profits do not deserve protectionism. Drug companies aren't even large employers! A few guys at the top, some scientists and thats it. Genentech near me is an offshorer too. I feel NO NEED to protect this industry. If we want to protect an industry it should be something with a manufacturing base where employment is valuable to us.
