This no child left behind program is bankrupt.

In one state I know of, schools are giving standardized tests. The schools with the lower scores on the tests are penalized in receiving funding because they don't measure up. Funds are distributed to all the schools based on these standardized scores. The higher the score the more funding you get.

But which schools do you think did the worst on these standardized tests? If you guessed the schools in the poorer areas with high numbers of minority students, you're right. It's these disadvantaged schools that will see their budgets trimmed because of "poor" performance.

So the very schools that need extra assistance to help boost the education there, will be the schools that will be penalized.

No child left behind?

Bullshit!
