I'm in favor of spending money on education. That does not mean wasting the money. I'm also in favor of spending money on infrastructure such as roads, schools, universities, power facilities. These are investments in our country that will pay dividends well beyond the jobs created building and maintaining the infrastructure.

Spending money on war in Iraq does stimulate the economy, but it's a sunk cost, and there is no continued economic benefit.
