It seems you read more into my statement then I wrote.
Yes the risk CAN be greater if you do so in a random fashion such as you described in your 88 experience.

I find that statement quite absurd. A rooky might hold to the bitter end but anyone who has been in the markets for any time knows better.
Ever think about using stops to limit loss?
Gann's fourth rule is "Never let a profit run to a loss."
Nobody wins every time all the time. It's a game of your winners outweighing your losses.

It is a fact, and I repeat, "stocks tend to go down faster then they go up". Enron anyone?
