Dean fundraising peaked in August and going downhill now. Clark will steal his thunder and the Dean gaffes will make him a second tier candidate within a few months as Kerry and others legitimately hammer away at his flipflops and statements like "Hamas are soldiers".

Dean had a dream month in August on the covers of Time and Newsweek and getting all the free press, being called "frontrunner" over and over again. That insipred confidence, but now the confidence is fading out fast. Clark will win next quarter's fundraising and Kerry wil remain in a strong 2nd place every quarter so far. Since Dean has been spending millions on TV ads and Kerry has not, Kerry will end up with the most cash on hand. He's saving it. Dean peaked 7 months early, Kerry doesn't want to make the same mistake.
