A Nation is any group of people who define themselves as one Agreed So, Palestine is a Nation, because they say they are Agreed, so they do - now. However, 60 years ago they still regarded themselves as Syrians. What I dispute is all the fairy-stories of "Arab Palestine" that get passed around and believed by people who should know better. Palestinian nationalism exists now. But it is a new creation. If it had existed 60 years ago, the Arabs of Palestine might have behaved quite differrently. Then again, maybe not.
