I'm for fair wages paid to labor. The Davis Bacon wages are fair, and represent a competitive wage that might be obtained through collective bargaining, like unions.

I'm a supporter of unions and union wages. These wages are needed to support families. In addition the toll on the health and well being of labor working in the field should be adequately compensated. I believe that the Davis Bacon wages do that and are fair.

Since you are an engineer, your wages are probably higher than a laborer. We could send your job overseas, where engineers work for about 20% of what you get paid? How would that be? We'll outsource your job to India. That would be free market forces working, right?
