There have been about ten thousand individuals in my life time who walk up to me with some christian religious tract usually containing the text of John 3:16. Although not a religious scholar I could probably detail the Christian version of the life of Jesus in much greater detail than 95% of these street corner saviors. In other words I know what they know but they don't know what I know. The irksome part is that they don't want any information beyond that little tract, but they expect to change my life by handing it to me....There fear of information that might cause them to think and the defense mechanisms they use to avoid an open discussion are amazing.

Your treatment of the concept of bigotry reminds me of this type of personality.
