I'm surprised the whole NYSE affair has gotten this far. Which makes me look harder at who is pushing the agenda.

Seems the heads of the big brokerages are out to shake the NYSE up as they were the board members that voted Grasso out. By no coincidence these are the same banks that own parts of ECN's and also have the large institutuional clients(who also were squawking to remove Grasso) who are always trying to lower their execution costs.

If the media keeps this "change the NYSE specialist system" agenda alive, it may very well signal that big boys are behind it again and the NYSE floor may go the way of the Grasso - out the door.
