In 1998 there were 1.5 Billion split adjusted shares. Now there are 1.7 billion. So the company issued and sold 200 million shares in 5 years. Assuming an average price of $20/share. That's $4 billion. That's what he means. I excluded the shares AMAT sold for a penny each to their new CEO. If you include those, add another few $ thousands to the $4 billion. Sarmad
