Dear Jaded in Scarberia... Life getting you down? Never a cop when you need one. Don't worry, just relax, Delilah's here. Yup, I will make up some BS to make you feel better and play a song to keep the tears flowing....... Few things: (1) The WORSE crime of late I have seen - and I tell you I boil so much in my car, always thinking HOW CAN I STOP THIS?.. -- I drive home in TO on Bayview from Eglingtoooon - all the way up to Richman's Hill.. with the back to school and "lets go back to work martha so we can keep the gov'ment cheese flowing" crowd, traffic has been BRUTAL lately - what is normally a 35m drive one way has been lately close to 1.5hrs. Anyways, at VARIOUS points - between Finch and Sheppard but MOSTLY between STEELES and JOHN - there are people that "pretend" to use the MIDDLE TURN LANE - signal - get into the middle lane - get to an intersection - but CONTINUE -- IN THE MIDDLE LANE and then at the last minute, when the CEMENT median starts, they MERGE - basically eliminating say 5-10m per leg of waiting. Downright illegal. I saw it quite a bit on Yonge going south with the BIG DIP in Thornhill - all the time. For me I watch for that stuff and either (A) stay very close to the driver ahead and/or (B) ensure the driver behind stays close to me - preventing these ASHOLES in. Perhaps more CEMENT medians are required. Don't know. But it boils me. Diamond Lanes are another bother - BUT I usually let the Taxi's back - but never drivers. (2) In my previous RANTs I wanted to add RE: TORONTO UNE* First thing Saturday I wonder what "Channel 15" (previoulsy NBC) has on for kids -- what do I see? A FRIGGING LESBIAN - ELLEN DEGENERATE - I cannot believe it!!! Supposely they are showing PROMOS so lets hope that crap ends. (3) In my previous RANTs on Tories -- Re: Cuts.. If you remember, my fine jaded friend, Mr. Peterson of the Liberals FIRST introduced privatization - blood services. That was the START of the "cuts" (read - spun off in house to 3rd party). National Demonic Party of Ontario - continued. I don't want to spend precious "investment reading" with details of all this - but I will say this: a) I agree the hospital cuts for the most part were far overdone - and uncalled for b) the joining of services - such as Womens & Sunnybrook was a perfect example of where "saving money" should be concentrated. I don't mind cuts - or increases in taxes - I do want them to be reasonable and go ($$) to the places where they are going to benefit the most. Why the hell they sold off our sovereign land to the Frogs (aka the "Frog"07 Toll Highway) is beyond me. I am still scratching my head on that one. Merci.. and now.. some Twisted Sister for you Jaded in Scarberia.. cuz I know "YOU AIN'T GONNA TAKE IT -- ANYMORE!!!!" Dr. Blake -- you are wanted in gynecology.. Dr. Blake..
