Slim Pickens -played the pilot- a red neck to the bone!!he flew the B52 wearing cowboy hat and boots. Once the bomb bay jammed, the only way to free it and drop on the target, was to do it manually and that means falling with it. Slim Pickens climbed the A-Bomb like a cowboy on the a horse back. Release it. As he falls he beats the hat on the bomb shouting YEEEHHAAAA!!! This is not the type of guy who'd do that Jay. The mushrooms of the bom explosiuons are really beautifull ans the film ends with the song singing: "...we shall meet again. We don't know how. We don't know when."
