Hello Haim, <<you are so strongly against minimum wage>>
I am against minimum wage because it is (a) government interference in the free market, and (b) as such, cannot work, but (c) cost a lot of money and destroys much creativity, thus (d) hold back societal progress and civilization building.
Minimum wage is not what got civilization to where it is today.
<<As a civilized world we should take care of those that are weak or can not compete, because they were born this way>>
... I am not against, and in fact am in favor of, charity, never failing to practice it every year.
Charity is from the heart. Minimum wage is from bad logic. We must be generous in our heart, and must not take from one and give to another.
<<what differentiate human from animal - compassion>>
... You are confusing compassion with bad logic, and charity with unworkable law.
<<I respectfully disagree with your take that a total free capitalism society should rule>>
… OK.
<<... the same way that I think that Europe went a bit to much toward socialism>>
... difficult to draw the line, is it not? And who is to be the liner drawer?
<<... example Einstein was no financial genius and if not for financial support for his "irrelevant science" at the time, we would be without nuclear power plants today>>
... I agree, and therefore I support charity.
<<... based on your scenario Enron would continue to abuse our population as would be Tyco or Worldcom management>>
... actually not, because I do believe in government's role in punishing criminals. Do not change the subject ;0)
<<We are still stuck with a sub-par operating system because some guy in Seattle has more talent in squashing competitors or buy their creativity for peanuts than writing creative software>>
... the creations were bought for what they were worth, and not a cent less.
<<In a nutshell I do not like the society you think / envision will bring prosperity to ALL humans>>
... any society that brings prosperity to ALL humans is a communist society that exist only in theory and never in practice.
<<true democracy and capitalism will not succeed>>
... slippery slope thinking.
<<... those with qualities that enable them to exploit others hold the money and power to promote their false concept of society>>
... this will not change, false or true concept. Best to allow folks to decide for themselves on whether to follow the teachings of Confucius or adopt the rules of the Ten Commandments, and in any case, do the right thing.
We should not take from one to give to another. We should not decide for others what they can work for. We should stay out of the way of private party transactions. To do otherwise necessitate big government, and big government has many leaders, and leaders are to be avoided as much as possible.
When we start allowing some folks to determine what is right for others, we slip on the slope towards where we must not end up, like advocating thermo-nuclear war so as to balance trade accounts.
<<Rest my case>>
… same here:0)
