A strong dollar has been terrible for US corporations, but clearly bullish for US financial assets.

A weak dollar will indeed be great for US corporations, but death to US financial assets.

All that matters in stock prices is supply and demand, just like any commodity. Positive earnings may improve demand, but a collapsing currency will take US liquidity with it into the toilet, and stock prices as well due to the decreased demand.

That's why FA is near useless, and TA can actually work; it involves techniques for anticipating changes in the supply/demand equilibrium.
