Shack, I am not trying to be a pain in the butt (that comes to me naturally) - but an argument that bear markets never end with very high PE's is probably valid. Why? Because this is merely an empirical observation over time. On the other hand, a claim that PE's actually DRIVE markets, be it up or down, is plain FA drivel. Cheers!
