New CNN Poll: Clark surges, Bush now at 50% approval.
That 50% means only about 40% will actually vote for Bush.
The White House is in trouble. Bush may not have finished falling. If he dips to 45% or so he is a goner. Because remember, approval does not equal votes. And his numbrs on the economy are bad.

Meanwhile, Clark's initial surge puts him 10% or so ahead of a four way tie of Kerry, Dean, Gephardt and Lieberman.
Clark's 23% means he's taken chunks out of each candidate's hide plus gotten some undecideds. He hurts Dean the most because Dean used to be the frontrunner with the momo. No more. Amongst these second placers, only Dean does not have the trust of the DNC, so he's in trouble.

In match-ups with Bush, only Clark and Kerry beat Bush. Dean fares the worst. The difference? Male swing-voters voters who like a macho kinda candidate.
