The 9/10/2001 posts that I presented here are just a small sample of the weird trading that began about 1/2 hour before the close on the day before the WTC attack, after a very slow, boring trading day. Read them for yourself, and see if you agree with the FBI that there was nothing unusual going on. Start here....

down or someone big has decided to take a jump and gain a position. Either way, I like the price movement.

Something's going on in the Alternative Energy sector...it's not just HPOW. PRTN up 24.77%, BLDP up 4.44%, and PLUG up considerably too.
All at the end of the day. What gives?

No real changes....

I saw the post from Hpow this morning around 11 am. No reaction really. Then at the end of the day, sky rockets in flight. If there is something happening Tuesday, and its not public knowledge at this point, I think we may have a serious insider trading violation. The news this morning did absolutely nothing to stimulate this stock. Check the buying pattern. If the institutions bought in based on insider info, their ass is grass. I challenge anyone to show me a single reason this stock moved like it did. The reason I am really pissed is that I only own 20k of Hpow, and have watched it go through its ups and downs. Now, we either have panic covers by shorts, or someone leaked info to a priveledged few investors. If anything good and real happens Tuesday, no one will be happier than I. But with my next move, I'll be calling the SEC on trade violations, because leaking info to your buddies about stock movement is illegal and unethical. Hang onto your shorts ladies and gentlemen.

The rally was late that afternoon. Something does not smell right here.

what could not SMELL right if the whole damn sector spiked at 3:30? PRTN, i think the first. did you read my post? looks like HUGE institution had a long list of AE stocks and filled them at 3:30. i have seen this before, like last May or June where at 3:30 or later a huge spike went across the AE stocks, in particlar fcs.

I'm cool. I hope I am totally wrong. But absent any convincing news that would explain the sudden interest, I'm still skeptical. Lets see what type of news hits the street on Tuesday. Remember, I'm in deep, up to my earlobes as a matter of fact! If Due Dillegence does not explain the sudden volume, than what does? The level playing field for large, small and in between investors, in regards to company press releases and direction, is the law. If Hpow or the sector is in for good news, then where is it? What your telling me is that multiple independent decisions were made to buy into AE by institutional investors for no obvious reasons than "The time feels good?". And that that time just happened to be 3:30 pm ? I appoligize for being the squeaky wheel in the middle of the rumba line, but the reason I have stayed solvent over the years is a healthy amount of skepticism. I think the most that small investors can hope for, is to be caught up in the vacume of big business, one way or the other. I really don't like making or losing money, for no explainable reason. That's exactly how I feel tonight. I just won the lotto and I'm saying, "Why me?"

There must have been 700,000 shares traded in the last 30 minutes.
This has to be more that shorts covering. My guess is the Big Boys are moving in. Something good is brewing.

I agree. The move is great, but it generates suspicion. Why can this stock be manipulated this much in one day?

If the two plane crashes in NYC will affect the conference? Maybe it will be postponed as it is widely guessed that these crashes are terrorist attacks.
