"Suppose a law passes in the U.S. similar to the one Canada just passed that makes it mandatory for every gun owner to register every gun they own"

If this is being proposed I will fight to keep it from happening. The Dems are the ones who would try such a law. Vote for repubs and keep us safe. It is paranoia of you guys that hate Ashcroft and Bush to think they want to oppress Americans. They are fighting like to protect us from those who have declared war on us and would kill us if given the chance. Do you guys just think they want to lock every American up? Paranoid. And don't move to Canada. What you state above is a good example of liberal politics intruding on people's lives.

"How about those arrested after 9-11 who were refused due process?"

List the U.S. citizens that were refused for me.

"I try to avoid such generalizations and I also try to avoid putting too much trust in any political organization or party."

Well you are making them about Ashcroft and the repubs. I do make them, and the ones that the dems stand for like anti gun ownership, pro high taxes, activists judges that write laws instead of interpreting them, etc., etc., etc.

Like I said in an earlier post, I do not just give the repubs blanket approval. But I am far closer than the radical positions of the Dems, which seem to be the party of hate and innuendo to me.
