I will fight to keep it from happening.

So will a lot of people. But that doesn't mean it won't happen. That just means you'll be disgusted when it does. And you and me and a lot of other people probably won't register our weapons. We'll just keep them obscured from the law and hope we don't get caught. But we will get caught eventually, while hunting, or plinking, or by discovery through a wiretap that was done without a judge's approval. Just hope that by then the law doesn't include unregistered gun ownership as a part of the definition of terrorism.

The Dems are the ones who would try such a law.

Don't be so sure they won't get GOP support. The Gun Owners of America warned about a GOP/DEM alliance back in '99: gunowners.org

List the U.S. citizens that were refused for me.

Here's a synopsis: hrw.org
Most of these weren't U.S. Citizens but most were here legally.

But I am far closer than the radical positions of the Dems, which seem to be the party of hate and innuendo to me.

You must not listen to Limbaugh and his ilk. Have you heard Matt Drudge go after Maria Shriver? Now, that's hateful.

And although I think Bush vacuous and Ashcroft the only boob that needs to be covered, I hate neither one. But I hate their policies when they threaten to undermine my freedoms. Since the WTC attacks, I have been pulled aside at airports and had my underwear sifted for bombs more times than I care to remember, and I have been pulled over at a Gestapo-style highway roadblock and been forced to produce my driver's license and state my destination and business. Under Bush and Ashcroft that type of invasive behavior is becoming the norm. I could care less about the party affiliation of anyone who's breaking my balls with the hopes of conditioning me to be more docile for the next search. It ain't gonna happen. But they have conditioned me to fly only when absolutely necessary and to warily avoid the police whenever possible.
